The Jessica Stevens Community Foundation is taking a different approach in encouraging philanthropy this year. They are offering up to $12,000 in challenge grants ranging from $500 to $3,000 to nonprofits located in or serving the Northern Susitna Valley, which includes the Trapper Creek, Talkeetna, Sunshine, and Caswell areas.
JSCF’s primary goal is to support organizations and programs in our community that serve the needs of people in areas such as health, education, human services, arts and culture, and the preservation and enjoyment of the natural environment. In 2015, the foundation is also striving to encourage continued growth of grantees with the challenge to match grant awards by seeking new donors or increased contributions. If the challenge is met, JSCF will match the donations dollar for dollar for the amount of the grant. Please see the below FAQ document for additional information.
We will accept online grant proposals between May 11th, 2015 and July 10th, 2015 by 5:00 pm from qualified tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations or equivalent organizations.
