Grants & Community Projects

As a committee, our goal is to support projects of importance to our community that will help us all become better stewards of the land. We are continually listening and learning about what is important to you.

We are currently focusing our grantmaking on projects that support compassionate health care, innovative education, community enrichment, active enjoyment of the natural environment, and arts and cultural expression.

Please feel free to contact any member of the committee if you have a project you hope we’ll support. Our regularly scheduled grant cycle is announced each spring.

Because we’re a relatively new foundation, we’re building our endowment and learning what’s important. We’ll use this page to keep you updated on the grants we’re making and projects we’re supporting as we move forward.

2016 Healthy Community Grant Process is no longer accepting applications

The Jessica Stevens Community Foundation is increasing grant funds and offering up to $15,000 this year in Healthy Community Grants. Awards may range from $500 to $3,000 to nonprofits that serve the Northern Susitna Valley, which includes the Trapper Creek, Talkeetna, Sunshine, and Caswell areas. There is no match requirement this year.

JSCF’s primary goal is to support organizations and programs in our community that serve the needs of people in areas such as health, education, human services, arts and culture, and the preservation and enjoyment of the natural environment.

We will accept online grant proposals between May 18th – July 18th, by 5:00 PM from qualified tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations or equivalent organizations.
