Planned Giving

You can give a gift today that will make a difference in the northern Susitna Valley for generations to come. Join the Legacy Society for Alaska and become a part of a community of like-minded individuals who have included The Alaska Community Foundation and the Jessica Stevens Community Foundation (JSCF) in their estate plans through bequests, outright gifts, or life insurance and retirement-plan beneficiary designations. To find out more on how to join the Legacy Society for Alaska, please visit the ACF Legacy Page.

Options for Planned Giving Include:

Make a gift to the Jessica Stevens Community Foundation in your will or trust: You can identify a specific amount to be donated or designate a percentage of your assets as a contribution after bequests are made to your heirs.

Designate Jessica Stevens Community Foundation as a beneficiary of your retirement account(s) or life insurance policy: This option preserves the full value of your support, as your gift will not be subject to income or estate taxes.

The Advantages of a Planned Gift

Life is uncertain, and all of us want security in retirement. By leaving a planned gift, you can leave a legacy while ensuring that your assets are available until the end of your life. Then, your planned gift lives on to benefit the whole community.

Gifts may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate after taxes and expenses, or a gift of real property, stocks, artwork, or other valuables.

If you have a large estate, planned gifts can help your heirs avoid estate taxes.

Plan Your Legacy

If you are ready to make a bequest, or if you plan to leave a gift to the Jessica Stevens Community Foundation in your will, we invite you to let us know in our Legacy Society of Alaska. When you fill out the non-binding Legacy Society Declaration of Intent Affiliate form, you can let us know the exact intent of your gift. Let us acknowledge you either by name or anonymously.

Bequests can be made to:
The Alaska Community Foundation/Jessica Stevens Community Foundation
EIN #92-0155067, a tax-exempt organization under IRS Section 501(c)(3)
