The Jessica Stevens Community Foundation (JSCF) is pleased to announce eleven non-profit organizations in the Upper Susitna Valley received Healthy Community grants totaling $17,000. Every year, JSCF has an open application period for any non-profit organization serving the communities of Caswell, Sunshine, Talkeetna, and Trapper Creek to seek grants that are consistent with the mission of JSCF. The areas of interest include basic needs, health, the arts, education, and improving the environment. The money to fund these grants comes from the interest earned on the various endowment funds within JSCF that have been established to support charitable activities in the Upper Susitna Valley in perpetuity. You can view the list of this year’s recipients here.
