JSCF Bridge Fund

For at least the next five years, JSCF has an annual total of $25,000 set aside in designated Bridge Funds to help organizations through an unforeseen, unbudgeted emergency or situation.  As JSCF establishes this new opportunity with an eye towards maximum impact, it is encouraged that individual Bridge Fund requests not exceed $5,000.

Examples of needs that will be considered include:

Grant requests are accepted on an ongoing basis, submitted in a brief online form (you may need to email jessicastevens@alaskacf.org for access) or download the Bridge Fund Request pdf document.  The requesting organization must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in good standing both based in and directly serving the Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, or Sunshine communities.  Applications should be no longer than one page and clearly describe the immediate need and impact of Bridge funding on the organization.  If the emergency requires more funding than $5,000, please explain.

The intent is for JSCF to act on each grant request in a timely fashion, with a decision provided no later than three weeks from the request submission (note that there is an additional 2-3 weeks for the checks to arrive from the Alaska Community Foundation).

A concise final report is due within 6 months of grant start date and before any other JSCF funds will be granted to the organization.
