JSCF is an affiliate of the Alaska Community Foundation(ACF). There are 11 affiliates in communities across Alaska. Recently, ACF hosted a convening of affiliates which included an award ceremony. JSCF’s chair Will Peterson received an award called Leadership in Philanthropy recognizing his efforts in organizing our affiliate’s legacy giving campaign in the Upper Susitna Valley. As a prize, Will was able to choose which nonprofit in our area would receive a $500 donation from ACF. Will chose the Talkeetna Elementary PTA. The PTA maintains a vibrant healthy snack and salad bar program for their students.
